Mark Wallace starts as head of media relations at the Institute of Directors

The Institute of Directors has appointed the former campaign director of The TaxPayers? Alliance, Mark Wallace, to the role of head of media relations.

Previously a senior account manager with Portland Communication, Mark has also worked as a campaign manager for the Freedom Association where he ran media and political campaigns covering issues such as ID cards, the EU and free speech and taxation.    

Whilst at the TaxPayers' Alliance as campaign director, Mark managed a national campaign for lower taxes and better government, playing a prominent role in public issues including MPs' expenses, council expenditure and the drive for public sector transparency.

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has been representing senior level professionals since 1906 and is the UK's largest membership organisation for business leaders.
